Our eDNA sampler is hard at work in Admiralty Bay, Antarctica, capturing invaluable data to help scientists understand marine biodiversity in one of the world’s most remote and fragile ecosystems.
With small boat sampling now complete, the team is moving forward with a CTD-Lars transect out of the bay, heading toward a new site—possibly Deception Island. According to researchers onboard, the eDNA sampler has performed flawlessly, filling an entire cassette and now working on the second one!
Exciting to see cutting-edge ocean technology in action at the front lines of scientific discovery! Read the full story here: ‘Dal scientists hunt climate clues on first‑ever Canadian‑led research mission to the Antarctic’
